1. Our Commitment
Originly respects intellectual property rights and expects our users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar copyright laws worldwide.
Originly is an intermediary platform that hosts user-submitted content. We do not pre-screen uploads, but we respond promptly to valid copyright complaints.

3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded to Originly without authorization, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — Describe the work you claim is infringed, or provide a list if multiple works are involved
- Identification of the infringing material — Provide the specific URL(s) on Originly where the allegedly infringing content is located
- Your contact information — Include your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Statement of good faith belief — A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- Statement of accuracy — A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Physical or electronic signature — Your signature (physical or electronic)

5. Our Response
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice:
- We will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
- We will notify the user who uploaded the content and provide them with a copy of the complaint
- We will forward any counter-notification to the complainant
6. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Identification of the removed material — The URL where it appeared before removal
- Your contact information — Name, address, phone number, and email
- Consent to jurisdiction — A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
- Statement under penalty of perjury — That you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- Your signature — Physical or electronic

7. Repeat Infringer Policy
Originly maintains a strict repeat infringer policy.
- First Strike: Content removed, user warned
- Second Strike: Content removed, temporary upload restriction
- Third Strike: Permanent account termination
We reserve the right to terminate accounts immediately for severe or egregious infringement.
8. False Claims Warning
Filing a false DMCA notice is a serious matter. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
Please ensure you have a legitimate claim before filing a notice.
9. Processing Time
We aim to process all DMCA notices within:
- 24-48 hours for initial review and takedown
- 10-14 business days for restoration after counter-notification (unless complainant files lawsuit)
10. Non-DMCA Copyright Complaints
If you are outside the United States or prefer not to use the formal DMCA process, you may still report copyright infringement to reports@originly.dev. Please include as much detail as possible, including:
- Evidence of your ownership of the copyrighted work
- The specific URLs of the infringing content on Originly
- Your contact information
